Mongoose Fireball dirt bike review – for the ride of your life!

Posted by biker in Other

The Mongoose Fireball has been thrilling riders for years, but the new 2010 version is excellent .  They started out right at the beginning when everyone was into BMXs.  Look at them now!  They created an outstanding frame on this bike building it from an metal that ought to be more resistant to dreaded corrosion. It is fairly versatile too,  from a bike you can ride anywhere, or taking off from some earthwork with your friends.

Dirt jumping began with BMX racing, but it’s a bigger style of racing, in that the trails tend to be a lot larger, and designed to cataupult the rider up into the clouds .  The sport attracts more style jumpers , that in turn generates more gasps from the audience with their infinite variety jaw dropping tricks.  Tricks such as the  Tire Grab, Cannonball and No Footer.

Features:

  • FRAME:Flat Top Tube Technologies 6061 alloy dirt jump.
  • DRIVETRAIN: Shimano FT30 RD; Shimano Revo-Shift shifters; ProWheel crankset.
  • BRAKES: Tektro Novela.

You also upgrade components to the frame as you get more experience.

Description:

  • Flat Tube Technology 6061 Alloy dirt jump frame. -Kenda K-Rad dirt jump tires. -Custom Mongoose saddle. -Tektro Novela Mechanical Disc Brakes.

If you choose the Mongoose Fireball, you will have one of the tougher dirt jump bikes here.  A good sturdy  one, though it isn’t the lightest on the market, but you are going to need something built to absorb the impact of multiple landings, once you progress to stunt bike rider status. It is stable and  good in the air and in awkward situations on the ground. You  can feel immediately how it packs a powerful punch on the off and turns  fast and dependably around bends.

The good wide handlebars will help to keep good control, it is responsive and reassuring with wide tyres for extra stability.

The Mongoose Fireball has to be one the most entertaining rides, it doesn’t take much yet gives you the ride of your life!
